Anne Lin
Piano
Anne Lin received a Masters degree in Piano Performance from Carnegie Mellon University. While earning her degree she served on the teaching faculty of the Music Preparatory School from 1991-1993. She has continued teaching piano for the past 25 years at her home, various music stores in Pittsburgh’s northern suburbs and for the last six years runs this studio along with her husband Darryl Mielke.
Past students have won many awards and accolades including the Cincinnati World Piano Young Artists Competition, the Duquesne Young Artists National Competition, and the Pittsburgh Concert Society. Anne is a participating member in the Pittsburgh Piano Teachers Association and the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association Greater Pittsburgh Chapter and has had numerous winners in those two organizations’ competitions. Anne is the chairperson for the Elementary Solo Competition in the PPTA and chairperson for the PMTA’s Greater Pittsburgh Chapter Dorothy Sutton Performance Festival. Her students are active playing piano and keyboard in their school jazz bands, musicals, choirs, orchestras and churches. Many other children and adults study piano with Anne for their own personal joy and enrichment.

Darryl Mielke
Darryl Mielke received a Masters degree in Double Bass Performance from Carnegie Mellon University in 1993. He has played in the Westmoreland Symphony, Erie Philharmonic, Altoona Symphony, McKeesport Symphony, St. Vincent Camerata Orchestra, and at St. Stephen's Anglican Church. He played bass in musical productions with the Pittsburgh Musical Theater and Point Park Playhouse. He plays piano and guitar and teaches students of those instruments as well as the bass. Darryl also tunes pianos and owns this studio with his wife Anne Lin, named L&M Music Studios on Babcock.
